Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. Our Commitment
At DripCheckr, your privacy is fundamental. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, the third parties we work with, and the choices you have. DripCheckr is operated by Aethos Solutions LLC.
2. Data We Collect
We collect:
- Account and profile information — email address, display name, username, optional avatar, sign-in provider identifiers (Apple, Google), and any style preferences you choose to share during onboarding.
- Photos and try-on inputs/outputs — outfit photos and selfies you upload or capture, body-reference images used for fitting, generated Virtual Try-On results, Recolor variants, and AI Style Coach feedback.
- Voice input — audio you speak when using the Live AI Style Coach, processed in real time so the AI can respond. We don't retain raw audio after the session ends.
- Wardrobe and outfit metadata — album organization, tags, style labels, and item attributes.
- Community and battle activity — outfit submissions to Drip Battles, votes you cast, battles you participate in, comments, follows, favorites, your Drip Score, win/loss record, and weekly Top Fit reward grants.
- Approximate location (optional) — used only if you grant location permission, to fetch local weather for outfit suggestions. You can revoke this anytime in device settings.
- Usage, device, and diagnostic data — app interactions, screen views, session duration, device model, OS version, app version, crash reports, language, and general analytics used to improve the product.
- Purchase information — subscription status, product identifiers, consumable credit pack purchases, and welcome-week / referral-credit balances. We do not collect or store full payment card details; billing is handled by Apple or Google.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team, opt-in email subscriptions, and push notification interactions.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Operate the core service — host your wardrobe, generate Virtual Try-On and Recolor results, run AI Style Coach sessions, and surface AI outfit suggestions.
- Run Outfit Battles — match you with other Dripsters by Drip Score and theme, calculate vote results, update rankings, and grant weekly Top Fit rewards.
- Personalize your experience — suggest looks and battles based on your style profile, history, and (with permission) weather.
- Improve features — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, evaluate new features, and improve AI quality.
- Communicate with you — send transactional notifications (battle resolutions, try-on completions, security alerts), reminders if you opt in, and any newsletters you subscribe to.
- Maintain safety and integrity — detect abuse, enforce community rules, screen uploads for prohibited content, and protect the platform from fraud.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos, voice, or wardrobe content to train third-party AI models for purposes unrelated to providing DripCheckr.
4. Photos, Voice & AI Processing
Photos you upload are used to generate try-ons, Recolors, style feedback, and — if you choose to publish — community Drip Battles. We store uploaded images and generated results so you can view your tried-on looks, coach feedback, and favorites later.
The Live AI Style Coach streams camera and microphone input to an AI provider in real time so the AI can respond conversationally. Audio is processed transiently for the duration of the session and is not retained as a recording.
Community posts and Drip Battles are subject to automated content moderation. Images may be screened to detect prohibited content (e.g., minors, explicit imagery) before being matched into a battle.
5. Third-Party Services
To operate DripCheckr we rely on the following service providers. Each only processes data as needed to deliver their part of the service:
- Google / Firebase — authentication, database (Cloud Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), serverless backend (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run), abuse protection (App Check), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reporting (Crashlytics), product analytics (Firebase Analytics, exported to BigQuery), and remote configuration. Provider: Google LLC.
- Google AI (Gemini) and Google Cloud Vertex AI — image generation for Virtual Try-On and Recolor, image analysis and text understanding for the AI Style Coach. The Live AI Style Coach uses Gemini Live for real-time multimodal conversation.
- Google Cloud Vision — automated screening of uploaded images for moderation and safety.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — optional federated sign-in. We receive a unique identifier and the email address you authorize.
- Apple App Store and Google Play Store — handle all subscription and consumable in-app purchases. We receive purchase confirmations but never your payment card details.
- Resend — transactional and digest email delivery (e.g., weekly digests, password resets).
- Shorebird — over-the-air code updates so we can deploy bug fixes without an app store release.
These providers process data on our behalf under contractual data-protection terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DripCheckr, our users, or others.
6. Public Vote Links
When you generate a public vote link to share an outfit outside the app, anyone with the link can cast a Fire-or-Pass vote without signing in. We log a hashed identifier derived from the voter's IP address and user agent to prevent ballot stuffing; we do not associate that hash with any account. Public vote links expire automatically.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual content (photos, try-ons, posts) anytime in the app, or request full account deletion via support. Some records may be retained longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or enforce our agreements (for example, purchase records and battle audit logs).
8. Your Choices & Rights
You can:
- Access, update, or delete your profile and content from inside the app.
- Toggle camera, microphone, photo library, and location permissions anytime in device settings. Disabling them will turn off the features that depend on them.
- Manage notification and email preferences in the app settings.
- Use the in-app face-blur or emoji-cover before sharing a photo to the community.
- Request a copy of your personal data, or its deletion, by emailing support@dripcheckr.app. Depending on your region, you may have additional rights under laws like GDPR or CCPA, including the right to opt out of certain processing.
9. Children's Privacy
DripCheckr is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum required age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact support@dripcheckr.app and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, access controls, and App Check on sensitive endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Users
DripCheckr is operated from the United States and data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. By using DripCheckr you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions, subject to the protections in this policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version here with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
